A New York store clerk was arrested after stabbing a man in self-defense. It happened at a bodega in Harlem. Police say a young mom tried to buy a bag of chips for her daughter but her card was rejected. Her boyfriend came bursting into the store and shoved Jose Alba. Video shows Alba getting pummeled until he grabs a knife, fatally stabbing the man. Alba’s bail was set at $250,000 until it was reduced to $50,000. He was released after spending six days on Rikers island.
A man described as an ex-lover has been charged with the murder of a New York mom who was savagely stabbed to death in her basement and whose body was later found in a duffel bag, authorities said Thursday. David Bonola, 44, was a handyman who’d done work at the Queens home of 51-year-old Orsolya Gaal and her family. Officials say Bonola not only confessed to murdering Gaal, but also said he’d had an “intimate affair” with her for two years.
An upscale neighborhood in Queens, New York, is reeling after a well-liked mom was found stuffed in a hockey bag on a sidewalk after being stabbed to death. Police are scrambling to solve the murder of Orsolya Gaal, a loving mother and wife. Gaal’s husband, who works in finance, and their oldest son were out of state touring colleges when Gaal was slain. She had reportedly gone out with friends and got home around 11 p.m. Her youngest son was asleep upstairs.
Cops have identified the suspect who they say is responsible for stabbing two employees who work at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City Saturday. NYPD Deputy Commissioner of Intelligence and Counterterrorism John Miller said 60-year-old Gary Cabana “became upset about not being allowed entrance and then jumped over the reception desk and proceeded to attack and stab two employees of the museum multiple times.” Inside Edition Digital’s Stephanie Officer has more.
