A woman is behind bars because the Russian government says a play she directed three years ago justified terrorism. Yevgenia Berkovich was remanded into custody according to state media. Authorities recently opened an investigation into her and a playwright claiming the 2020 play “Finist, the Brave Falcon” broke the law.
