It’s the latest in a national road rage epidemic. In 2021, 500 people were killed or wounded in road rage-related incidents. In Portland Oregon, police say a gunman killed a 45-year-old father over his windshield washer spray allegedly landing on the suspect’s car. An expert says the uptick in road rage is partly due to the pandemic.
A road rage incident in Florida turned into a showdown between two drivers and could have ended tragically. According to an affidavit, Rafael Rivera cut off a motorcycle in traffic. The man riding the motorcycle also claimed that Rivera threw something while driving past him. Rivera claimed the man on the motorcycle gave him the middle finger. Police in Arizona reportedly arrested a man who they say pointed a gun at a driver in an apparent road rage incident. Francisco Garcia says he was driving home from the movies, when he noticed a Dodge Durango swerving into his lane. Trying to avoid an accident, Garcia admits that he cut the vehicle off. When the driver caught up with him at a red light, the man approached Garcia’s window, pointed a gun right at his head and started cursing. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.

The alleged attackers have all pleaded not guilty. A 23-year old New Jersey woman is speaking out after surviving being mowed down in a horrific road rage attack. Two weeks ago, Morgan Scott was on the way to work at the city’s planning and zoning commission in Elizabeth, when she says the driver of a silver SUV hit her car during a minor fender bender. As she tried to take photos of the license plate, the SUV suddenly went into reverse and went right at her, and ended up driving over her three times.
Prosecutors in New Jersey say the driver of a gray SUV is responsible for a vicious road rage attack that left a young woman in critical condition. The incident was caught on a neighbor’s home security camera in the suburban town of Elizabeth. The suspect, a man named Vincent Jean, has been charged with attempted murder. The victim’s parents said in a statement, “What this man did to our daughter was atrocious.”
