Nevada police arrested a politician in connection with a Las Vegas investigative reporter’s murder. Cops arrested Clark County Public Administrator Rob Telles after he walked into his garage wearing a hazmat suit. Police say Telles was disguised in a bizarre outfit after he allegedly stabbed to death Las Vegas Review-Journal Reporter Jeff German. Telles was taken into custody on a stretcher suffering from what cops are calling self-inflicted, non-life threatening stab wounds.
Authorities say an upset McDonald’s customer called the police over cold fries on August 5 and was arrested after officers discovered he was apparently wanted for murder. The Kennesaw Police Department in Georgia said that the suspect, 24-year-old Antoine Sims, allegedly fled on foot when officers attempted to arrest him. Police say they caught Sims in a nearby apartment complex parking lot and arrested him.
The three children, believed to have been killed by their mother in Southern California over Mother’s Day Weekend, have been identified. The Los Angeles County coroner’s office has identified the siblings as 12-year-old Natalie Flores, 11-year-old Kevin Yanez and 8-year-old Nathan Yanez. Their mother, Angela Dawn Flores, was arrested in connection with their deaths. Police say she has admitted to the killings.
A 12-year-old girl and her two younger brothers, believed to be 8 and 10 years old, are dead, and their mother has been arrested on suspicion of their murder. The Los Angeles Police Department has arrested Angela Dawn Flores along with an unnamed teenager in connection with the crime. Police say Flores “admitted to” the killings. The names and the cause of the children’s deaths have been withheld by authorities. Flores was booked on suspicion of murder and is being held on a $6 million bond. She has not entered a plea.
Cheers erupted in a Dallas courtroom after accused serial killer Billy Chemirmir was found guilty of murder. Police say the 49-year-old Chemirmir targeted a vulnerable population: the elderly. He would often pose as a maintenance worker to sneak into senior living facilities around Dallas. Chemirmir was charged with killing 18 seniors and stealing their jewelry. They are all believed to have been smothered by a pillow.
Wisconsin police have arrested a 14-year-old boy in connection with the killing of Lily Peters, a 10-year-old girl who was found dead blocks from her home. Gruesome details of the child’s death also emerged during the court proceeding. Prosecutors described how the young teen allegedly lured Lily, whom he knew, along a wood trail before they say he punched her, beat her with a stick, strangled her and then sexually assaulted her body. A decision has not been made on whether to try him as an adult.
A 10-year-old Wisconsin girl who vanished Sunday night while riding home on her bike has been discovered dead in the woods just blocks from her house. Authorities warned parents to be vigilant and to drop off and pick up their kids from school. The heartbreaking discovery was made Monday morning by investigators who searched through the night for Iliana “Lily” Peters, a fourth grader in Chippewa Falls. The girl’s body was found not far from her bike, near a walking path. The suspect is at large.
