Houston police are investigating the death of a 2-year-old boy who was found inside a stolen car after a man was gunned down in a southwest Houston parking lot Tuesday afternoon.
It was a terrifying scene at a gas station in the middle of the day. Two men are seen on camera in surveillance video armed with guns surrounding a white car, police say. The woman behind the wheel of the car hit the gas and sped off after they demanded she get out of the car, cops say. Houston Police are now offering a reward of up to $5,000 for anyone with information leading to an arrest and conviction. Inside Edition Digital has more.
A cop in foot pursuit of a suspect got some help. A good Samaritan gave one of them a lift in his car. It happened in White Settlement, Texas. Police say the two officers responded to reports of a stolen car, but when they tried to make a traffic stop, the suspect ran away. They started to chase him, but one officer fell behind in the pursuit. That’s when a concerned citizen driving by, offered him a ride to catch up. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.
California contractor Robert Pendergrast watched on a neighbor’s surveillance camera as his pickup truck was stolen. Lucky for him, he had an Apple Air Tag in the trunk. The Christmas gift came in handy, as it showed Pendergrast the exact location of his truck, in real time. Minutes later, he was in hot pursuit. He called the police and gave them a running blow-by-blow account of his truck’s whereabouts.
A teen jumped from a speeding stolen car during a police chase, according to authorities in Ohio. The Whitehall Police Department says officers were chasing the 16-year-old at high speeds. They say they deployed stop sticks to disable the vehicle. The car started to slow down and crash into the cement barrier. A group of teens are accused of attacking and carjacking a 73-year-old woman, whose arm was severed before she died on the scene, authorities said. Linda Frickey, a grandmother of four, was leaving her job at a New Orleans insurance company when three teens surrounded her and took her out of the car. The suspect at the driver side appeared to stomp and punch Frickey while female accomplices jumped into the backseat. Sister-in-law Kathy Richard is reeling. “It’s so deliberate, cruel,” she said.
This isn’t a dramatic Hollywood movie, it’s a man trying to stop an auto burglary at a popular tourist destination in San Francisco, California, who gets hurt in the process. In the dashcam video from a witness, a man is seen running toward the suspect’s vehicle and jumping onto the hood. The suspect vehicle quickly drives off and the man is flung into the street, appearing to his hit head on the pavement.
