A man wielding a sword was arrested for slashing a woman, the Los Angeles Police Department says. The LAPD says they received calls about a person armed with a sword around 11:20 p.m. on Oct. 18. As some officers were apprehending the suspect, another team of officers tended to a alleged victim. Police say the 23-year-old man with the sword was taken into custody. He was booked for attempted murder and is being held on $100,000 bond.

A police sergeant faces felony charges after bodycam video shows him put his hand on a fellow officer’s neck. Sergeant Christopher Pullease of the Sunshine Police Department in Florida faces battery on a law enforcement officer and tampering with evidence, which are third-degree felonies, as well as misdemeanor charges of assault on a law enforcement officer and assault on a civilian male, according to the State Attorney of Broward County. A Connecticut man was arrested after shoving an 11-year-old boy off his bike. Police say it all started when 11-year-old Daniel Duncan and a friend accidentally bumped into 48-year-old Jameson Chapman on a street in Deep River, Connecticut. When Chapman ran into the boys again, he yelled at Duncan before pushing him off his bike. His mother, Desiree Dominique, says she feels that her son was targeted because of his skin color. Chapman has been charged with risk of injury to a child and assault.
‘Incel’ Is Attacking Women With Pepper Spray
A self-described “Incel” named Johnny Young is a suspect in a series of pepper-spray attacks against women. The most recent attack happened in the upscale Southern California community of Costa Mesa. Police say Young approaches women alone or in groups, and assaults them. Incredibly, when they defend themselves and fight back, he claims to be the victim. He then posts video of the attacks to social media. Authorities say that the assailant has posted similar attacks on women in Las Vegas.

Man Attacks Brother’s Killer During Sentencing

He reportedly tried to grab the throat of the man who was to be sentenced after pleading guilty to involuntary manslaughter and aggravated robbery in his brother’s killing. Man With Golf Club Stops USPS from Delivering Mail
Weather may not stop the Postal Service, but a man with a golf club might. The residents of a Santa Monica, California, block are no longer getting mail delivery, because “Multiple carriers have been subjected to assaults and threats of assault from an individual who has not been located or apprehended,” according to the USPS. An investigation is ongoing, and The U.S. Postal Service has not provided a date when delivery will resume.
80-Year-Old ‘’ Charged After Allegedly Hitting Kid on Bike
An 80-year-old California woman has been charged with assault after she was seen on video pushing a kid riding his bicycle on the sidewalk. “Get the hell off the sidewalk, now!” Susan Garcia tells the 12-year-old boy, while appearing to shove him backward. The encounter was captured on the boy’s GoPro camera in an upscale gated community in Santa Ana. Garcia then headed to the boy’s front door to speak to his mom, Whitney Gregory. After watching the video, she pressed charges against Garcia.
